Thinnan was born to the Chieftain of a Hunting Tribe. Though he was gifted with a very strong body, he was an illiterate who was ignorant of the holy scriptures. His journey on becoming an example of great devotion and a great challenge to almighty, his transformation from Thinnan to Kannappa is the plot of Bedara Kannappa.
